General Manager’s Report

Darrell Ransdell (335-7869 ex. 1756)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays - Is my memory correct or is this year's weather already colder than last year? Such weather and the calendar reminds us that the Christmas holiday season is upon us. The POA staff wishes you and yours a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and beset wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.

I would like to remind all homeowners to get a StoneBridge Village owner sticker for the window of each vehicle. You can pick them up at the West Gate or the P.O.A. office and you will need to show your membership card and I.D.

Recreational Director

Denise Needham (417.335.7869 ext. 1754)

The holiday season is filled with opportunities to gather with family, friends, and associates. I hope all of you take this opportunity to attend the Christmas Gala at StoneBridge. The clubhouse has been decorated beautifully for this festive time and I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved.
POA Staff: Joey Benward, Kathy Osenga, Sandy Mincks and Laura Brincks, thank you for donating your time in making bows, decorating wreaths, swags, and trees. Kathy your creative vision with the candle centerpieces was magnificent! Many thanks to all of you for your help, advice and patience. The POA Ladies are the best!
POA Maintenance Staff: Tom Tungseth, Randa Soles and Tom Weig, I cannot list everything you did to prepare the clubhouse for Christmas decorating. Without you three there would be no trees to decorate, no lighted and hanging wreaths or swags, no lighted palm trees, no painted centerpieces, etc. Thank you very much for everything you did and continue to do for this clubhouse to look its best!
Pro Shop Staff: Christy Sherer, a very special thank you for helping with the decorations but mainly helping with all the fun we have for the owners. I could not imagine having an event without your willingness to help and the wonderful, positive personality you share with all of us. Bill Hasler, thank you for letting Christy help; she just gets it!
StoneBridge Owners: Sincere thank you to the ladies listed below for also donating their time and original decorating talents. Myra Sobral, thank you for teaching us to make those beautiful ribbon bows and decorating with such passion. Jane Julian, thank you for making bows, decorating and keeping us laughing. Jeanette Koehn, thank you for decorating the staircase and trees. It’s so elegant. Bonnie Ransdell and Tiffani Smith, thank you for completely installing and decorating the LedgeStone tree. It’s also very elegant. Sandra Ahrens and Barbara Orle thank you for recommending some Christmas vendors.
StoneBridge General Manager: Darrell Ransdell, thank you for sharing your vision of making the StoneBridge Community the best it can be when we all work together. Thank you for letting me be a part of this incredible team.

Ladies and Gentlemen we thank you for working so hard to make StoneBridge Clubhouse exquisite for everyone to enjoy this holiday season. If I have forgotten to thank anyone for their help, I apologize, please except my sincere gratitude.

Golf Course Superintendent

Jim Pyle (417.339.2130)

Every year about this time we have to talk about snow. For all of you that want your driveway plowed, you need to make arrangements for a flag for your driveway. Please keep in mind that our first priority are the roads. Driveways are last to be done. Our pricing is based on the size of your driveway. Also, keep in mind we will only do driveways that are safe enough for us to get our equipment into. To get a flag and put your name on the list, call Joey at the POA office 335-7869 extension 1764.

On the course, our project at #15 and #18 are all but complete. Sand for the bunkers will be ordered in late winter. For the rest of the winter, we are going to make #18 Fairway a restricted area with carts limited to cart path until further notice. Enjoy the nice days on the course.

GOLF PRO

BILL HASLER (417.335.8187)

With all of the warm weather that we have had, it is hard to believe that November has come and passed. With December here, now is the time to use any outstanding golf shop credit you may have. The pro shop is fully stocked with winter wear, putters, wedges and other holiday gift items. Lessons are also a good idea for those who are making golf a priority for 2007. Reggie Grant has 3 series lesson packages available for only $100.00. This is the time to re-grip your clubs. The Pro-shop has a wide selection of grips to choose from and we charge only $1.50 per grip for installation.

Beginning this month, we will start playing off both #1 and #10 tees from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. In order to keep our mornings running efficiently, we are not accepting tee times earlier than 10:00 a.m. for the month of December.

On behalf of the pro shop, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Architectural Control Committee (A.C.C.)

Larry Moffitt (417.334.0636)

We would like to thank the residents of StoneBridge Village for the support that is given to this committee. The committee has many challenging tasks with all the new construction, so it sure is nice to hear the compliments. The committee has many challenges ahead and with your support we can resolve them, also.

We are aggressively pursuing the homeowners and contractors to cleanup streets and job sites. This includes, but not limited to: parking vehicles or trailers on the street or common property over night, storing building material or fill dirt and gravel on common property or on property that does not have a SBV building permit, etc. We have started assessing fines for specific violations. These fines start at $50 per day per violation until the violations are resolved.

We would like to thank John Wiskirchen for going the extra mile in cleaning the street on SilverBluff Circle. John not only cleaned the part of the street they had soiled, but cleaned the entire street that other contractors should have been responsible to clean. He did this on two consecutive Fridays. Thanks again John. We appreciate your work.

The work activity for contractors in StoneBridge Village is from sun up to sun down. Contractor work is prohibited on Sundays and national holidays. If you hear noisy work on a construction site between sundown and sun up or on Sundays and national holidays, please contact an A.C.C. member, POA office, or StoneBridge security.

Trash containers continue to be stored outside of some residences. All trash containers for one or two family dwellings shall be stored inside garages, basements, or fenced privacy areas adjacent to the home, which are approved by the A.C.C. Trash cans are not to remain in the drive way or on the street more than one day after trash pickup. Compliance letters will be sent to the homeowners with 10 days to comply. The homeowners may be assessed a fine after the 10 days. Please store the trash containers as listed above.

Angel Tree

“Tis the season in the Ozarks to deck the halls and hang the stockings (already!). It's also that time of year when we open our hearts and our hands to give to the needs of others. In that spirit, the StoneBridge Village POA is excited to announce that the Clubhouse will host an "Angel Tree." An outreach of the Salvation Army, the "Angel Tree", is an opportunity for residents and owners to provide a Christmas gift for a local needy child.

The tree has been placed in the foyer between the Pro Shop and the LedgeStone Grille. Simply remove an Angel from the tree, purchase the item(s) listed on the Angel and return the items by December 16, unwrapped, to the Santa sack, which is next to the tree. If you have any questions, please contact the POA Office (335-7869).

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

LLGA

The final LLGA Awards Luncheon was held October 31 in the dining room upstairs with 25 ladies attending. While it was too cold to play golf, we enjoyed a warm atmosphere inside and a lovely luncheon. Chicken divan crepes were the entree, served with fruit and croissant, with dessert featuring lemon bars with a cranberry sauce.

Betty Alexander presided over her last business meeting and Bonnie Ransdell read her last minutes and financial report (which accounted for their wide smiles). Betty has been president for two years and Bonnie has served as Secretary-Treasurer for six years! Both were given well-deserved gifts as tokens as our appreciation for their service.

Pro Bill Hasler gave us a short report, and Betty presented him a check for $800 from LLGA to be used for Junior Golf scholarships. Jim Pyle, Reggie Grant, and Bill were also acknowledged for their good work with us on the course and in the pro shop.

Before the annual awards were presented, Bonnie read a cute poem about Jane and her zeal to clean up the tee boxes, and then gave her the Sybil award. Marilyn Sassman also presented Jane with a (used) carpenter's apron to put the tees in. Yeah, Jane!

The LLGA Championship winners were acknowledged with gifts, and the four Match Play tournament winners were also honored. (Winners were listed in previous month's reports.) Last week's Club Champions were also announced: Mary Gillespie won low gross, and Betty Alexander low net. A hole-in-one award was presented to Carol Van Meter (#5), and Jolene Richards was recognized for her hole-in-one on #15 recently (Sunday, October 29th).

Winners of the Ringer awards (lowest composite gross score by flight) were:
"A" - Gae Redford and Mary Gillespie tied with a 64
"B" - Kay Russell with a 70
"C" - Pam Hunt and Patty Lund tied with a 76

Most birdies by flight were:
"A" - Mary Gillespie with 18!
"B" - Kay Russell with 4
"C" - Shirley Douglas with 2

Only one eagle counted all year: Vicki Wratten had an eagle on #11. Impressive!

The most improved golfer this year, going from a 13 to a 10 handicap was Gae Redford. Good got better (to say the least)! Second most improved was Barb Thompson, who reduced her handicap by a stroke (16 to 15). Good work, ladies!

Mary Gillespie received so many awards we decided her title should be "Queen of Everything" or "Princess of Quite-a-Lot" (along with a few other names)! She is the LLGA Champ (for the 4th year in a row), Club Champ, most birdies, and consolation winner of the Match Play (not to mention the weeks she won prizes.) It was a very good year for her and deserves mentioning. She is an inspiration to watch!

After the luncheon, it didn't take long for the ladies to head for a more relaxed atmosphere (in the bar). So many ladies, so few bar stools! One more cheer for a good season in the LLGA. Join us in the spring for good times and inspired golf!

9’ers - 2006 Year in Review...by Eve Gloede

We have come to an end of another golf season,
The Weather is changing and the greens are a freezin.
It has been a year of Bogies, BIrdies, and Par
And our Score Cards have decreased by far

The regulars were janet, Peggy, Ruth, and Nell
And they consistently hit the ball well
Debbie, Marti, and Sally came from the Lake
To enjoy golf and have lunch and partake

Although golf was our original chore,
We have done so much more
Birthday parties and Cardinal baseball are just a few
Along with shows, the Landing and Eve's barbeque

The Women's golf clinic was held in the heat
But the LedgeStone 9er's participation was hard to beat
In July, was the opening of the refurbished clubhouse
And we even had an event and invited out spouse

Our Organizers - the J's - Jeanette and Joan
Came up with new ideas without a moan
"You've got new mail" always brought a smile
to see what even they planned for the rank and file.

The told us where to go, how to get there, and what to wear,
They are awesome and appreciate, I swear.
From the StoneBridge Van to personalized nametags,
Jeanette even added goodie bags!

i for one want to thank you for a great 2006
You are all wonderful friends and quite a mix.
Also thanks to Myra for hosting our party for the end of season
Although drinking wine and getting together is our reason

My poem is almost to an end,
Let's take a minute to remember a legend.
This group has enriched our life to be all that it can be
And this was all started by a dream of our pal, Sally T.

In 2006, we have set a high bar, I fear
With excitement I look forward to next year,
Can't wait for 2007 to see what will occur,
I anticipate another great one, for sure!
