General Manager’s Report
Darrell Ransdell (335-7869)
Golf Carts and GPS – Somehow I forgot this subject in the June newsletter and have had several questions regarding what exactly is going on. By the end of June, we will have taken delivery of 60 new Precedent golf carts, which are burgundy in color, have two sand bottles and a ball/club washer on each cart. A big change is that they are electric carts, which will cut down on fuel costs and allow better driving control on our mountain course. A portion of the carts are already in use and many are enjoying the quiet operation and no fumes. The cart storage area has been wired to accommodate the battery chargers. We will lease for a four-year period.
Also, new for us is the addition of a state-of-the-art GPS (Global Positioning System), which will allow us to speed up play, monitor play (in real time), be able to control speed on steep grades, and designate portions of the course and property where the carts will not operate. An example of this would be on #18. If someone tries to turn a new cart onto the ladies tee, the cart would stop automatically and the only way to return to operation would be to back up from the limited area. Golfers who may be less familiar with our course or new to the golf experience (or think the golf cart is a four-wheel drive) will enjoy a safer round with the combination of electric carts and GPS, tracking and controlling their movement. Using GPS golfers can order lunch or snacks from LedgeStone Grille for pickup at the turn and can report an emergency directly to the Pro Shop.
The GPS screen, which displays the hole layout and yardages, has an area available to include advertising, which will be different on each hole. Advertising on the electronic score card and the electronic tournament score board is also provided and will be available for sale to offset the GPS cost. If you are interested in learning more about the GPS system, please stop by the Pro Shop.
Clubhouse Renovation – We’re planning to open before July. There has been some plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and final hook-up of kitchen equipment that has delayed the opening. Our final piece of furniture should be received by the time this is read and we also will have gone through the final inspections required.
Nicol’s Fine Dining is the name of our restaurant upstairs and the downstairs area will be called LedgeStone Grille. Please watch this web site as we plan to post the opening date once inspections have taken place and we open. The phone number for the restaurants is 417.239.0445.
Newsletter – Posting the newsletter on the web site is saving the POA approximately $5,000 per year inmaterial, labor, and postage to 897 property owners. We appreciate everyone’s patience as wemake adjustments to our page layout to make the newsletter more web and user friendly. In the past months, golf related articles were separate from the newsletter and placed in the golf section of the web site. Starting this month, we will post all articles together including the golf articles. The option on the web site to print the calendar remains separate from the newsletter due to a different layout.
Copies of the newsletter will be available in the POA office. Each month we mail to those who do not have access to the internet. If you have questions or know of someone who needs help with the newsletter, please contact the POA office.
Fountain – Golf Maintenance has purchased a new fountain to help us control algae in the pond surrounding #17Green. The fountain is light and enhances one of the beautiful spots on our property. It also helps to remind golfers who try to forget that there is water out there.
Parking – One of the ACC rules that gets a lot of attention is related to parking. Because of the narrow streets in the village, we constantly need attention to this matter. Our first priority is to have access to the entire village for the residents and their guests. Equally important is access for emergency vehicles. All parking should be in driveways and off the roadways. There is no parking allowed in yards or on common properties without permission from the POA office. When there is a space problem, parking on the streets is restricted to one side, so there is always a lane open and driveways are not blocked. There are occasions when the POA office will authorize parking off the roadway on the right-of-way, but without permission it is prohibited. For safety reasons, the roadwaysmust be open where there is low visibility of oncoming traffic and on all main roads. Property owners are responsible for their guests and contactors working on their property. Please pay attention to your parking. Thank you.

StoneBridge Village meeting rooms are ready for business. The last two weeks all rooms were occupied by nationwide companies. These groups not only rented the meeting rooms, they lodged 50-plus people, played golf, and the restaurant provided breakfast, lunch and dinner. Revenue was generated for all. If you have future functions or events needing a location, please consider StoneBridge meeting rooms. We will have packets available at the POAoffice with room rates, room capacity, and service agreement. If you would like a tour of the meeting rooms, please call this temporary number 417.263.1741. I will be moving into the POA offices the week of July 4. My new number will be 417.335.7869 extension 1754.
We are currently working towardmaking the Business Center operational, so we can provide members, and business groups the availability of computer access, copies, and faxes. We are also installing room signage for identification of the meeting rooms. We are looking forward to providing you a great facility for your meeting and entertainment needs.

Heat will do a number of things to a golf course. As things dry out and get harder, it will make your ball fly farther and roll more on the fairways. We will also be watering more trying to keep the greens hydrated and growing. This time of year can be one big problem circle, watering more makes it too soft and creates more ball marks. In addition, it causes wet bad areas in the fairways. Help us out by fixing two to ten more ball marks than you make. Drive the new carts wisely, avoiding wet over-watered areas. Try to use the 90 degree rule when possible and walk a few extra steps around our greens and tees. We’re proud of your course and want you to help us maintain it to your expectations. Enjoy your golf!

Enjoy your golf! The A.C.C. Committee would like to thank the residents of Stone Bridge Village for their continued support and to request some additional assistance from each homeowner. Listed below are requirements as outlined in the original Covenant filed in Stone County on October 22, 1993, and further defined in the Architectural Control Committee Rules and Regulations. There are to be no watercraft trailers or utility trailers parked in private driveways and on common properties of StoneBridge Village. This regulation can be found in the StoneBridge Village Architectural Control Committee Rules and Regulations, Article IV, Item A, Paragraphs 4, 5, & 6. We recommend reviewing these regulations as they may apply to you. This is a reminder to property owners in StoneBridge Village that a permit is required for any changes to the exterior of your residence. The permits are easy to obtain and are described in StoneBridge Village Architectural Control Committee Rules and Regulations, Article I, Item A, PERMITS. There are several above ground propane tanks that are not fenced as required by the StoneBridge Village Architectural Control Committee Rules and Regulations, Article X, Item F, PROPANE TANKS. There are a number of lawns that are not well maintained. In the StoneBridge Village Architectural Control Committee Rules and Regulations, Article V, states, “it is expected that the yard of each home will be established and maintained in a neat manner and one that is pleasing to the eye.” The lawns are not expected to be manicured, but should be mowed regularly, weeds removed, and shrubbery trimmed, so as to not appear overgrown.
Thank you,
