Manager’s Report
Darrell Ransdell (335-7869)
LedgeStone Clubhouse Renovation – We are getting close. The opening date is around the 1st of June. There are final touches in the kitchen left to do and the dining room tables are expected to arrive the last week of May, which should allow us to begin the fun. I am very excited about the clubhouse in full operation and available to members. Bob Nicol and his staff have been very busy preparing to greet and serve not only the membership but our many guests. “Nicol’s Fine Dining” is the name of our restaurant upstairs and the downstairs area will be called “LedgeStone Grille.” Please watch this web-site as we plan to post the opening date once inspections have taken place.
StoneBridge Village Gates–Thanks to everyone for your patience with the new gates. They are a very attractive addition to the community but have had more than our share of start up problems. We will continue to work out the bugs until they consistently work properly. Now that the clubhouse project is nearing the end, work on finishing the roadway and completing the new directional signs will move along.
Annual Meeting – Members elected Lon McLauchlin and Neff Basore Jr. to the POA Board of Directors for three year terms. The audited financial results for 2005 were presented at the May 18th meeting. The committee appointments for the coming year were approved and they are listed in the newsletter. Please know that members are invited to attend the committee meetings and the Board meetings, which are shown on the calendar.
Cedar Ridge – The POA owns and maintains limited common properties, which are the yards of the townhomes on Cedar Ridge. The yard maintenance is paid for by the residents as a maintenance fee. The POA must balance the extent of our work in mowing, mulching, planting, trimming and irrigation with a reasonable cost that the residents are willing to pay. The timing and frequency of maintenance is determined for an overall attractive appearance consistent with the entire community. Work in this area is charged back to avoid residents in other areas subsidizing costs on Cedar Ridge.
Forest Lake – If you have not visited the Forest Lake portion of our community, it is worth a look. Two of the lakes are full and a third will fill soon with timely rains. By just staying on the paved portion of the road, we can see the theater built by Mel Tillis in the east and panoramic views of our Ozark Mountains to the west. Many of our new neighbors are building and moving in to this area. Check it out.
Landscaping – MPI is continuing work on landscaping at our entrance and main intersections. The new signs along main routes will help our guests and other visitors find their way. Later this fall additional work on roadsides to include more trees, bushes and wild flowers will continue.
Reminder – Covenants on property in StoneBridge Village authorize the Architectural Control Committee to enforce Rules and Regulations & Design Guidelines along with the Covenants. It is our (yours and mine) responsibility to know and abide by the content of these documents. You can obtain a copy at the POA office.
Pool - The swimming pool at the clubhouse will be open on Saturday, May 27th.
Please abide by the following rules:
- There are no coolers or glass containers allowed.
- all children must be accompanied by an adult.
- There is no life guard.
- The pool hours are 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Have a fun and safe summer!
Recreational Director

Thank you for such a warm welcome!
My main focus these few weeks have been preparing the Clubhouse meeting rooms for business. There are three meeting rooms available to members the “Eagle,” “Birdie,” and “Par” room. The seating and room configurations will be released soon. There will also be a Business Center available. There are member events scheduled such as Ladies Bridge, Ladies Skipo, and Yoga/Pilates classes.
After the meeting rooms have been completed, my focus will be on event interest that the members would like implement. Suggestions from some of the members are water aerobic classes, tennis tournaments and also some off property events. I hope we can incorporate these events and much more. Please feel free to share your suggestions with me.
I want to thank the ladies for inviting me to the ladies luncheon what a fun time it was. I really enjoyed myself and thanks again to Mary Ann and the wonderful fashion models.
Let’s plan some Fun!
