Highly trained professionals are available to work closely with meeting planners to ensure that all details of the meeting or convention are handled.

Your first call should be to the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau. Here the sales staff will provide updated information and promotional materials. Packets sent will include information about the area facilities equipped to handle all needs including accommodations, reservations, meeting space, transportation, entertainment and spouse/family activities. In essence, all travel plans can be begun with just one call.

In addition to comprehensive travel information, the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau also offers a Request For Proposal service that extends to all area facilities. Utilizing forms such as those provided in this packet, the Chamber/CVB staff will disseminate and compile the bids for review. This process can either be administered directly with the Chamber/CVB or through the meeting planner.

The Chamber/CVB can also arrange site visits as needed for area resorts, hotels, meeting facilities and entertainment venues.

The airport is served by most major carriers with regional jet service provided by TWA, American Eagle, Northwest Airlink and United Express with more carriers being added each year. The airport handles more than 70 arrivals and departures each day. Non-stop direct service is available between Springfield and Kansas City, St. Louis, Dallas, Chicago, Memphis and Denver.

For those meeting attendees coming via car, Branson is less than one-day's drive from half the US population, making the destination both convenient and affordable. Since 1990, more than $200 million has been invested in the more than 50 new and reconstructed roads. In the fall of 2001, Highway 65 between Springfield and Branson was expanded to 4 lanes, making travel to and within the Branson/Lakes Area effortless.
